Pridnestrovie is for a peaceful dialogue with Moldova to protect the legitimate interests of its citizens

Pridnestrovie will continue the negotiation process in different formats, including the "5+2" and "1+1" formats, in order to resolve issues that concern Pridnestrovians. This topic has become the main one at the meeting of the Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations of the Supreme Council of the PMR, to which Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev was invited today. Deputies discussed with the Foreign Minister of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic the general foreign policy situation around Pridnestrovie as well as the possibilities of the republic to respond to the rapidly changing situation.

Negotiations must be continued so that all issues related to the protection of the rights and freedoms of our citizens, further life, all economic processes, economic development, humanitarian projects, are resolved on the basis of signed agreements that must be implemented.

The problems of free movement, resumption of the work of the vehicle registration points, political criminal cases, personal security of citizens, blockade actions by the Republic of Moldova, delays in cargoes of Pridnestrovian economic agents, including fuels and lubricants, as well as medicines, remain unresolved. Its delivery through Moldova can also become a big problem in the conditions of closed borders with Ukraine.

Vitaly Ignatiev noted that the topic of the supply of medicines to Pridnestrovie was discussed in the course of the meeting with the political representative of Moldova on the 28th of February. The next meeting of political representatives in the Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement is scheduled for the 24th of March, the Foreign Minister noted.

They spoke in the course of the meeting of the Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations about the situation with refugees from Ukraine. More than 20 thousand people entered the republic, most of them remained. They are provided in Pridnestrovie with support at all levels, the Vice-Speaker noted. Galina Antyufeeva came up with the idea of ​​creating the We Are Near volunteer headquarters, which has been actively helping Ukrainian refugees since the 27th of February.

The parliamentarians discussed interaction with international organizations at the meeting of the Commission on Foreign Policy, in particular they received a clear position and recommendations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the PACE resolution on Pridnestrovie. Appropriate conclusions will be drawn based on this information.
