The attacker turned out to be a former student of the gymnasium, 19-year-old Ilnaz Galyaviev according to the Russian media. He first blew up the front doors of the school and then started shooting inside. The security forces found several dozen cartridges on the shooter. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case. Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to urgently work out the tightening of the rules for the circulation of civilian weapons.
