Pridnestrovie joined the Test on the History of the Great Patriotic War international event

06.12.2024

On December 6, 2024, Pridnestrovie once again became part of a large-scale international event – a test on the history of the Great Patriotic War. The PMR Youth Parliament has been the regional coordinator of the project for several years. The main site of the test was Pridnestrovian State University. The event brought together a wide range of participants: students, schoolchildren, Suvorov cadets and young army members. All of them tested their knowledge of the events of the Great Patriotic War. The test topics covered key moments of the war: the most important dates, names of heroes, great commanders, as well as the history of military equipment and weapons. The Youth Parliament has been the regional coordinator of the project for several years.

Participation was possible both in the traditional format at one of 50 sites organized throughout the republic, and online by taking the test on the official website of the project http://www.Big-History.ru. All test participants will receive a certificate of completion. The organizers hope that the opportunity to choose a convenient format of participation will attract even more people to the event in the future.

The Test on the History of the Great Patriotic War international action has been held since 2015. Its information coverage has exceeded 50 million people over 9 years. The initiators of the project were the Youth Parliaments under the legislative bodies of the Russian Federation with the support of the Russian Military Historical Society and leading historians. Pridnestrovie has been participating in the action for the fourth year in a row, and interest in the test continues to grow.

The main goal of the test is not only to test knowledge, but also to increase the interest of young people in the heroic past of their ancestors. The action continues to strengthen the historical connection between generations, recalling the events that changed the course of world history.
