The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic held a traditional online meeting of the Presidium. Members of the Presidium voted to supplement the agenda of the plenary meeting of the Supreme Council, which will take place tomorrow on April 17.
The Committee on Social Protection and Healthcare worked and prepared for consideration in two readings at once a package of legislations initiated by the Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Amendments and additions to the laws “On state benefits for citizens with children”, “On provision of benefits for temporary disability, pregnancy and childbirth to citizens subject to state social insurance”, “On burial and funeral business” and “On the PMR Unified State Social Insurance Fund” are designed to eliminate legal gaps in regulating the implementation of labor and social rights of employees in cases where the organization does not have a manager who acts in relations with employees on behalf of the employer, who in addition to labor responsibilities to employees has the responsibility to assign and pay state benefits to employees . The Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare prepared tables of amendments to these legislations. The final decision will be made at a plenary meeting by the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The deputy corps will consider tomorrow the legislations that were prepared for consideration by the Committee on Regional Policy and Housing and Communal Services and the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens. These include legislative initiatives that introduce amendments and additions to the Criminal Executive Code and the law “On the detention of suspects and accused of committing crimes”. If adopted in final reading and signed by the President, these draft laws may allow children under 4 years of age to be near the suspected or accused mother. The law currently grants this right until children reach 3 years of age.
The next plenary meeting of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is scheduled by decision of the Presidium for April 24.
