The final, 12th meeting of the X session of the VI convocation of the PMR Supreme Council today was attended by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky. At the beginning of the plenary session, the President congratulated all citizens of the republic on the 30th anniversary of the Parliament.
The PMR President noted that Pridnestrovie was formed through referendums and through deputies of all levels on September 2, 1990. The President expressed gratitude to the first deputies of the Supreme Council, who stood at the origins of the Pridnestrovian statehood, and emphasized that the councils, both the Supreme Council and the city and regional councils, play an important role in the formation of legislation. The Supreme Council adopts laws, and the President signs them and builds state policy on the basis of the adopted laws.
Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked the parliamentarians of the VI convocation for their work and addressed the elected deputies of the VII convocation.
Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on the topic of combating COVID-19, especially in the context of the consideration and adoption of the country's main financial document. The President noted that the decision on each amendment to the draft law on the 2021 budget should be taken in consolidated manner.
