The President signed amendments and additions to the law on compulsory motor third-party liability insurance

The President of Pridnestrovie Vadim Krasnoselsky signed amendments and additions to the Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic "On compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners". Accidents with minor damage (up to 350 minimum wages) on Pridnestrovian roads can be processed without calling the traffic militia from the beginning of next year. The initiative of parliamentarians Viktor Guzun and Vadim Kravchuk to introduce a "Europrotocol" was approved by the deputy corps in the final reading on June 25.

Accelerated processing of accidents will not only save time for drivers, but will also allow the roadway to be quickly cleared of cars and facilitate travel for other road users. The same statistics have been recorded for 2 years in a row - 40% of all accidents without casualties are processed using the "Europrotocol", without the involvement of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate in the Russian Federation. For example, about 824 thousand minor accidents in Russia were processed by the drivers themselves last year.

Preparations have begun in Pridnestrovie to ensure that this mechanism starts working from January 1, 2026 today.

A driver involved in an accident is obliged to immediately stop the vehicle, turn on the hazard warning lights and put up an emergency stop sign according to the Traffic Regulations. Next, it will be necessary to assess the situation and , decide whether it is possible to process the accident using the Europrotocol without calling the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate if there are no casualties.

The conditions are as follows:

- no more than two insured vehicles collided;

- minor damage that does not cause controversy;

- no harm to life and health;

- the culprit admits guilt;

- both parties must agree to register the accident using a simplified procedure, without the traffic police.

Then you will need to draw up a traffic accident notification on the spot.

One more important point. The maximum that can be received from the insurance company is 5075 rubles (350 minimum wages). If the drivers make a mistake in determining the damage on the spot, then the missing amount will have to be found out of court or in court, added the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
