The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky gave an interview to the Russian TV channel, Russia 24, and spoke about how Moldova is creating a humanitarian crisis in Pridnestrovie.

The main points voiced by the President are quoted by the News of Pridnestrovie agency:

• Pridnestrovie agreed to all of Kishinev's conditions for the supply of natural gas: through Moldovagaz, purchases from European traders. The gas should have arrived by now. However, 5 days have passed, and we have seen nothing from Moldova except false statements and accusations against the PMR and Russia.

• Kishinev is discriminating against residents of Pridnestrovie on the basis of their territory. 220000 Russian citizens live here, and they are deprived of the most important thing – energy resources.

• Moldova is artificially dragging everything out in order to bring the humanitarian situation to the brink. Where everything can be resolved in an hour, it drags on for a day or two, and where it can be resolved in a day, everything is stretched out for 10 days.

• Incomprehensible politicization on the part of Moldova: in exchange for supplies, it demands the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers. This approach is unacceptable.

• People are getting sick because of the energy crisis and are already dying from carbon monoxide poisoning and fires. The inhumanity of Moldovan politicians is astounding.

• The gas that remains in the pipe will run out IN a couple of days. It will be very difficult without it.

• It will take 2-3 months to restore heating in homes if the gas in the system disappears.

• Coal reserves for generating electricity at the Moldavian GRES are until February 16-17 at the latest. There is no more coal and there will not be. The Moldavian GRES only needs anthracite, and there is nowhere to get it from yet.

• Gas can be delivered to Pridnestrovie even tomorrow if Maia Sandu finally fulfills her promise. The republic should receive 3 million cubic meters of gas per day. This is the volume that is needed to generate electricity for Pridnestrovie and for thermal power engineering.
