The PMR President set tasks for state authorities for 2023

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky announced the tasks for 2023 for state authorities and administration, including for the Supreme Council of the PMR today. The videoconference was attended by Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov and heads of parliamentary committees. The message of the President consisted of several blocks, including "Political stability", "Social justice", "Economic self-sufficiency", "Regional policy". Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that most of the tasks and assignments are related, and the work will be joint. The President emphasized that the information voiced today is basic, detailing is to be done in the near future within the framework of expanded departmental boards. Vadim Krasnoselsky called the current wide meeting an opportunity to discuss the state of affairs in the country, coordinate actions and outline plans, the website of the PMR President reports. The PMR President announced today the basic elements of the Development Strategy of Pridnestrovie for 2018-2026: strengthening the independence of Pridnestrovie with a focus on gaining international recognition and implementing the results of the 2006 referendum; continuation of the formation of the “Pridnestrovian people” community that includes representatives of various nationalities, ethnic groups and is based on the preservation and development of languages, cultures, customs and traditions; building a socially oriented state with a market economy.

The setting of tasks was preceded by an assessment of the results of the past year and current realities. The President recalled the fight against the spread of coronavirus, the foreign policy crisis, terrorist attacks, support for foreign citizens who arrived in Pridnestrovie due to difficult geopolitical circumstances, the complication of the logistics of cargo and passenger transportation, blockade measures by Moldova, power outages. Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on the fact that special regimes continue to operate in the republic: the yellow level of terrorist threat and the state of emergency. The PMR President emphasized at the same time that despite the reduction in budget revenues due to objective reasons and the justified need to promptly adjust government spending, all social obligations were fulfilled last year in a timely manner and in full, key benefits were preserved, utility tariffs did not increase, the exchange rate remained stable. The work of the Pridnestrovian state apparatus in 2022 was recognized by the President as satisfactory.
