The PMR President positively assessed the work of the Supreme Council

The history of the creation of the PMR as a state, achievements over 30 years, foreign policy and international relations, socio-economic development. Speaking about the distinctive features of Pridnestrovie, he recalled that the fate of Pridnestrovie was and is decided by the people - in the course of referendums, while in other countries referendums have an advisory function.

Quite a lot of questions were devoted to the topic of the current year - the coronavirus pandemic. The economic consequences are expressed in hundreds of millions of shortfalls in the state budget. In addition, over six months, 140 million rubles were spent from the budget to fight coronavirus infection. This is the purchase of protective equipment for medical workers, and the payment of compensation to entrepreneurs, and additional payments to doctors for hazardous working conditions. In the second half of the year, the President noted, the cost of measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus is also planned at the level of 150 million rubles. In addition to protective equipment for doctors, a significant part of the funds will be spent on the organization of a combined and safe teaching process in schools.

The President noted that due to significant financial spending and budget losses, part of the programs (Capital Investment Fund, affordable housing, etc.) have been cut by the end of this year. But the state considered it important to complete the construction and repairs of social facilities and healthcare facilities under the Capital Investment Fund program even in difficult conditions.

A question was asked about how the President assesses the results of the activities of the current team of people's representatives. Its composition will be updated in November - a single voting day will be held in the republic. Vadim Krasnoselsky answered that he was satisfied with the work of the parliamentarians.

As an example, Vadim Krasnoselsky cited the work on the law on state support measures during the period of emergency and quarantine. He emphasized that the opinions were different, and it was thanks to the different opinions that weighed and correct decisions were made.
