The region has advanced further than other Russian regions in some areas of development. At the end of last year, population growth was recorded here - the population of the region increased by 7400 people. This positive fact is largely due to the fact that a lot of attention is paid to youth policy. This region, like Pridnestrovie, is adjacent to the countries of Europe. Young people have the opportunity to go there. Decisions, events were discussed during the meetings with Kaliningrad colleagues.
A lot of impressions from Pridnestrovian parliamentarians remained after visiting the Baltic Federal University named after Kant and meetings with the rector Andrei Klemeshev. This is one of 11 universities that have federal status. The university is one of the most important factors for development of the entire Kaliningrad region, a source of innovation and a supplier of professional personnel. Educational and scientific activities make a significant contribution to building up intellectual, scientific, technical and image capital of the region. Evidence of the prestige of studying in it is the fact that 642 students from other Russian regions study here.
BFU has a powerful intellectual and scientific potential. A technology park in the field of nano-and IT-technologies functions on its basis. It is noteworthy that a significant part of its staff consists of graduate students and 5th year students. The scientific community of the university participated in the development of strategy for development of the Kaliningrad region for the medium and long term. In this part, in terms of creation and development of technoparks, they are ready to share information with Pridnestrovie and share their experience.
Pridnestrovian parliamentarians visited the university technopark, which is funded both from the federal budget and through the provision of paid services. Investments in it are long-term, in the long term, with an emphasis on the development of fundamental science. A prerequisite for conducting scientific research is their subsequent approbation, and most importantly, the introduction of their results into the real economy.
Wide range of issues with the head of Kaliningrad Alexey Silanov was discussed. The mechanism of government procurement in Kaliningrad was interesting for Pridnestrovians. Its use, according to the owners, showed the need for legislative adjustments. The relevant law will come into force on July 1 of this year in the PMR.
Pridnestrovians got acquainted with new technologies that are used there in the field of road construction in Kaliningrad. In this regard, our republic will also be interested in the project of an automated system for accounting for the fare of passengers and the transportation of baggage on public transport, the so-called transport card.
Each student has his own plastic card with which he can purchase everything he needs from an educational institution. It also serves as a pass to enter the institution and exit from it. Moreover, when a child enters or leaves school, the parent will know that a text message will be received on his phone. Digitalization in Russia extends not only to the economy, but also to the educational sphere. These are electronic diaries and schedule.
The educational institution is ready to take care of the student from 8 am to 8 pm. There is a whole network of hobby groups, sports sections works. Additional education turns out to be both free and paid. The new school will even have its own school TV. All schools built in Kaliningrad will be equipped with a swimming pool.
Tourism was chosen as a priority in Kaliningrad. This is understandable, taking into account geographical location of the region and the proximity to it of different countries. Certain results have already been achieved in this way. Between 2017 and 2019, the number of visitors to the amber region doubled from 1.2 million to 2.4 million. A special feature of this industry is medical tourism, and in particular, dental services, where competitive prices and quality services are offered.
During the trip, the deputies of the Supreme Council visited a number of industrial enterprises: a bakery, as well as the Avtotor car factory, which was the budget-forming plant. The automobile plant was commissioned in 1996, and it was possible to attract an investor who created the enterprise from scratch. Now it employs 3200 people, and almost 250 thousand cars are produced per year, which are supplied to the Russian market.
Meetings with State Duma deputy Alexander Yaroshuk are traditional for Pridnestrovian deputies. He represents the interests of both Kaliningradians and Pridnestrovians. They discussed the pressing issues of simplified adoption by the residents of Pridnestrovie of Russian citizenship, the use of maternity capital in the territory of our republic, the interaction of economic agents of Pridnestrovie and the Kaliningrad region.
The region is carrying out intensive construction of social infrastructure, including kindergartens and schools, as well as residential buildings. All this requires cement and metal structures that our manufacturers are able to offer.
