Flowers to the black granite memorial sign were laid by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Government Alexander Martynov, Minister of Health Christina Albul, deputies, chief doctors of leading medical institutions of the republic, veterans of the medical service.
Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized: no matter what disaster overtook the state, it is almost impossible to overcome the problem and save the lives of citizens without people in white coats.
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown how important the work of healthcare workers is. More than 3 thousand people were involved in the fight against coronavirus infection, 2 thousand of them fell ill, there are cases of death. COVID-19 has been handled by health workers in different ways, just like their patients. Some of them did not know that they were ill, while others were seriously ill with complications. Today, the recovered doctors are already back in the ranks and continue to save the Pridnestrovians.
The Ministry of Health works closely with the Supreme Council. Laws and state targeted programs are being adopted to help Pridnestrovian medicine move to a more modern level.
Next Sunday on the 20th of June Pridnestrovie will celebrate the Day of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers. Words of gratitude, wishes of health and all the best will be addressed to each of them this day.
