New Year's Eve in Bendery

Children's crafts supplemented today the New Year's decoration of the foyer of the Palace of Culture named after Pavel Tkachenko in Bendery. The children of district No.5 "Central" participated in a competition organized by deputies of the Supreme and City Councils.

The participants received a certificate of appreciation, a sweet gift, a game set and a ticket to the premiere performance. Alice's New Year's Adventures in Wonderland was shown on stage. The plot of the famous fairy tale was chosen because one of the main characters is a rabbit – a symbol of the coming year.

The New Year's competition in the district of deputy Sergei Pisarenko is being held for the second year. It involved children from 3 to 12 years old. Parents sent photos of children's crafts by e-mail to the organizers. The participants prepared works in one of three themes: "Symbol of the Year", "New Year's Card" and "Santa Claus and His Helpers".

Meeting with activists from the district of deputy Serhiy Pysarenko was also held today in the House of Culture named after Pavel Tkachenko. They summed up the results of the outgoing year, discussed plans for work in the district, which should be carried out in the next one.
