Rybnitsa turned 395 years old. Events in honor of City Day began with the laying of flowers at the memorial sign to Major General Tsvetkov – commander of the 41st Rifle Guards Division, which took part in the liberation of Rybnitsa from the Nazi invaders in the spring of 1944. A minute of silence was held then at the Memorial complex to honor the memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War, in the armed conflict of 1992 and those who died during the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, according to the official website of the Rybnitsa state administration. The events were attended by deputies of the Supreme Council from the city and region: Yakov Galak, Vadim Kravchuk, Vasily Kunitsky, Valentin Matveychuk and Andrey Safonov.
A rotunda was opened in Embankment Park on the anniversary of the city. The construction of the facility was carried out at the expense of the Capital Investment Fund.
An exhibition-fair “Buy Pridnestrovian” was organized on the city square. Enterprises, agricultural producers and artisans from all over the republic presented their products, about 50 participants in total.
The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov sent a greeting address to the Head of the Rybnitsa state administration Victor Tyagay on the occasion of the city’s anniversary.
