The orphanage in Bendery was opened in the post-war years in February 1947. It became a home for many children who lost their families in the Great Patriotic War. The institution has changed its name, location, teachers and pupils have replaced each other, love for children has remained unchanged during 75 years.
The orphanage in Bendery belongs to the constituency Number 1 "Solnechny". Deputy for the district, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov always provides the necessary support to the institution together with the deputies of the City Council. He helps in landscaping: gazebos were repaired, paths were laid on the territory of the orphanage. The children receive gifts on the occasion of the themed holidays. Alexander Korshunov is a frequent guest in the institution. The Speaker of the Parliament congratulated the leadership on the 75th anniversary of the orphanage today.
Alexander Korshunov thanked the leadership and staff of the orphanage for their high professionalism, hard work, dedication, boundless warmth, responsibility and help to children.
The institution is home to 54 pupils aged 3 to 17 years – 23 schoolchildren and 31 kindergarten pupils. Psychologists, social pedagogues, speech therapists work with children. Children attend creative sections. Conditions for education, recreation, comprehensive development of children are created here.
Teachers and pupils prepared a concert program, presented their creativity to the guests in honor of the anniversary. The song was performed by a former pupil of an orphanage and a participant in the project “You are super” on the NTV channel Maria Shumeiko.
The staff of the institution was congratulated by the Vice-Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva. The vice-speaker thanked the employees for their love for children and the creation of conditions for every child to feel part of a large friendly family.
In connection with the anniversary of the orphanage and on the eve of the Social Worker's Day, many employees were awarded state awards today. Orders of Labor Glory, Letters of Appreciation from the President, Certificates of Honor from the Ministry of Social Protection were presented. The director of the orphanage, Tatyana Velshinevskaya, was awarded the title of "Excellent Worker of Social Welfare of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic".
