The Celebration, smelling of Gunpowder

It was organized by "The Russky Mir" Foundation "The Creation" with the support of the Pridnestrovian parliament "Historical Perspective", "The Future of Pridnestrovie" Foundations, as well as the NGO "Pridnestrovian community", Moscow. Veterans, deputies of different levels, youth, historians, artists, leaders of public organizations, including veteran organizations gathered in the Plenary Hall on the eve of the holy feast of the 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.

Chairman of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla addressed participants of public forum with a welcoming speech.

President of the "Creation", the former deputy of the Supreme Council Olga Gukalenko read greeting of the vice-speaker of Russian State Duma Sergei Zheleznyak to conference participants.

Pridnestrovie and Russia have longstanding ties at the regional level. Deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma from "The United Russia" party, a member of the Public Chamber of the Moscow Region Valery Rodionov in the course of the conference on the parliamentary site presented welcome address and the badge of honor of his colleagues and the head of the regional Duma Igor Bryntsalov to the Chairman of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla.

Doctor of Political Sciences, Lt. Gen. Vladimir Manchenko started the report with the words of gratitude to the Supreme Council and its leader for the organization and conduct of the parliamentary platform of international cultural and patriotic conference. He served in the 14th Army in Pridnestrovie in 1991-1992.

Other speakers: Chairman of the "Pridnestrovian community", authorized representative of Vladimir Putin, Colonel-General Nikolai Serdtsev; President of the association of compatriots Evgeny Baklanov (Kiev); Chairman of the NGO "Compatriots of Gagauzia" Alexander Kyvyrzhik (Comrat); Candidate of historical sciences, professor of PSU Nikolay Babilunga; representative of the "Russian community" in Chisinau Alla Suwako also talked about the preservation of historical and cultural values, the lessons of recent history, preventing its "rewriting" about the younger generation love for the country educating, caring for war veterans.

Within the framework of the international conference "The Great Victory - one for all" the winners of competitions for children "Great victory in verse and prose", "We have a glorious victory grandchildren" were awarded and handed memorable gifts. Well-known and respected in Pridnestrovie people were awarded commemorative medals "70 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945". Among the recipients are former and current members of the Supreme Council Vitaly Glebov, Mikhail Katkov and Galina Antyufeeva, deputy of the capital city council, Igor Buga, representatives of veterans' movement Valentine Nikitina and Tatiana Poiata and Elena Bomeshko and others.

Results of the international forum, which was held in the legislative body of the republic, were announced at the meeting of foreign guests of honor with the Chairman of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla, as well as parliamentarians Alexander Korshunov and Vladimir Bodnar. During the dialogue, there was a Eurasian vector of development of PMR, strengthening the interaction of Pridnestrovie and Russia, including at the legislative level, interethnic accord, linguistic diversity and, of course, the Great Victory and its soldiers.
