The People's Militia Holiday

Parliamentarians Vadim Krasnoselsky and Leonid Belyakov, as well as chief of staff of the Supreme Council  Sergei Belous became participants of the festive events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Pridnestrovian militia. Their participation is not accidental, because they have devoted to law enforcement, the fight against crime, occupied various management positions in the law enforcement system for many years.

Traditionally festive events, dedicated to the professional holiday - the Day of the militia - began in the courtyard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. There is a monument to officers killed in the line of duty. Red carnations from the leaders of the republic, representatives of the deputies, employees of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Interior lay to its foot.

The history of Pridnestrovian militia leads to the fall of 1991. Then, under nationalist leadership of Moldova pressure on the freedom-loving people of Pridnestrovie began the transition of city and district departments of internal affairs under the jurisdiction of the young republic. Thousands of police officers have shown unwavering civilian and stance - the people's militia remained with the people. No threat, up to physical violence, did not shake the determination of Pridnestrovian law enforcers to protect Pridnestrovian statehood how valiantly they did it in the military 1992. 16 employees of the Interior gave their lives for freedom and independence of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Their photos - are on a special stand in the foyer of the auditorium. The photos of those who have laid heads in fights with Moldovan nationalists were added photos of employees who died while fighting crime.

To date, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is the largest multifunctional and law enforcement agencies of the republic. Pridnestrovian militia - is the successor of the Soviet, which today is 99 years old. That is why during the grand anniversary meeting of the best words and wishes were addressed to the militia veterans. They, as well as current employees in the professional holiday were awarded state and departmental awards, assigned to the next special titles.

The Supreme Council deputy, Major-General Vadim Krasnoselsky, who from 2007 to 2012 headed the Ministry of Internal Affairs addressed colleagues, co-workers with congratulations.
