Celebration of wisdom and experience: Day of Older People in the Borisovsky microdistrict

It has become a good tradition to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons in the Borisovsky district of Bendery in mid-autumn. The holiday for residents of the district is organized by the PMR Supreme Council Deputy for constituency No. 3 Oleg Petrik.

Sunday, October 1st, gave those gathered summer-like warm weather. Residents of the district of all generations gathered in Borisovsky Square, which was opened 5 years ago, since then all events have been held here. There were congratulations from the deputy of the Supreme Council on the Day of Older People at the beginning of the holiday. Oleg Petrik thanked the representatives of the older generation for their work, for their experience and for their contribution to the development of the city and the republic.

Musical groups came to congratulate those gathered. “Small Tangerines” form kindergarten and professional artists sang for the residents of Borisovka of the older generation, their grandchildren and friends. The spectators especially praised the folk vocal group of veterans “Fate” from the cultural and leisure center “Shelkovik” with songs of the Soviet years with a standing ovation.

Everyone was treated to delicious porridge and aromatic tea, prepared right there in the field kitchen during the intermission of the concert.
