Children's Football Celebration

Annual mini-football tournament was held in Bendery, Solnechny district. The children's football holiday was organized by the Parliament Speaker, Deputy of the Supreme Council for constituency No. 1 Alexander Korshunov and deputies of the Bendery City Council.

Alexander Korshunov added that recently the mini-football tournament has become open. This means that teams from other micro-districts of the city of Bendery can also take part in it. Amateur sports competitions are not only an important part of promoting a healthy lifestyle, but also unite the residents of the microdistrict, the Speaker of Parliament said.

The competition was held in three age categories – from 11 to 15 years old, from 15 to 17 years old, and from 18 and older. 9 teams totally, which is about 100 football fans, fought for the right to be called the best. In addition, the best striker, defender and goalkeeper were determined. The outcome of the game depended on each. The fans include parents, friends and neighbors.

Young footballers consider that the main thing is not victory, but participation. The guys tested their strength and rallied, received a charge of vigor and positive. Most importantly, the boys felt like real football stars, to whom the attention of many spectators was riveted.

Artem Khromov is 12 years old. He is professionally engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling and is also not indifferent to football. He won the Best Defender nomination at the end of the game.

The winners of the tournament were awarded medals, certificates and valuable prizes. Gifts include soccer pads, backpacks, gaiters, sports water bottles. Each participating team received a soccer ball. All participants of the competition received as a pleasant bonus a delicious summer treat – ice cream.
