Festive parade in honor of the veterans who brought the Victory closer

Solemn events are held in honor of the 76th anniversary of the Great Victory in all cities and regions of Pridnestrovie. 1418 days and nights separated June 22, 1941 and May 9, 1945. In memory of those who fought for their homeland, forged victory in the rear and fought on the front line, went to reconnaissance and carried the wounded from the battlefield, did not return from the war, festive military parade was held on the capital's Suvorov Square. At the same time, it was held on Red Square in Moscow.

The Victory Banner was raised, a copy of the assault flag of the 150th Order of Kutuzov, II degree of the Idritsk Infantry Division, hoisted over the Reichstag on May 1, 1945 on a flagpole in the center of Tiraspol. The canvas was handed over to the Pridnestrovians by the Russians in May 2014.

The leadership of Pridnestrovie congratulated the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers, today they are honored guests at the military parade.

T-34 tank with an exact copy of the Victory Banner and legendary artillery drove today through the central square for the first time on Victory Day. Then the parade crews of the Armed Forces of the Republic marched in a solemn march: servicemen of the border department of the MGB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and units of the Operational Group of Russian Forces in Pridnestrovie, the parade crew of the cadets of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense in uniform during the Great Patriotic War, as well as young defenders of the Fatherland - students of the Republican Cadet corps and the Tiraspol Suvorov Military School. Traditionally, cadets and officers of the Military Institute of the Ministry carried the standards of 13 fronts of the Great Patriotic War.

Soldiers and officers of the Guard of Honor Company have been participating in military parades more than 20 years. The unit serves as the heirs of the victories of the soldiers-liberators, defenders of the homeland. 36 servicemen took part in the performance. They demonstrated skillful use of military weapons and special drill techniques. The Guard of Honor Company of Pridnestrovie is the only one in the world with military weapons.

The visiting card of the republic along with the guard of honor is the orchestra of the Main Staff of the Armed Forces of the PMR.

Equestrian crew of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the military uniform of the Great Patriotic War in continuation of the parade marched across the square. Actors of the Pridnestrovian State Drama and Comedy Theater and soloists of the Equestrian crew "Dniester" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs performed "May Waltz".
