The right of students to switch from paid to budgetary education was enshrined in law

The law "On Education" enshrined the rights of students to switch on a competitive basis from paid education to republican budget education. The deputy corps supported at the plenary session the initiative of parliamentarians Igor Buga, Andrei Safonov and Pavel Shinkaryuk in the second final reading.

The specialized law clarified that the cases and detailed procedure for the transition of students from paid to budgetary education will be established in a by-law. It will be developed by the Ministry of Education and approved by the Government.

The authors of the initiative did not ignore the issue of mandatory work in the received specialty for graduates of budgetary education. This obligation will also remain for students who have switched to the budget during their studies, but the period of work will be shorter. The Ministry of Education will determine which one. The new rules will come into force 60 days after the signing by the President and official publication. It is expected that the new rules for the transition of students from paid to free education will begin to operate from the beginning of the new academic year.
