Widows of military personnel who died in the line of duty or died as a result of a military injury in peacetime will be able to receive two pensions. The Supreme Council in the final reading adopted the appropriate additions to a number of laws. The legislative initiative was developed by a group of deputies of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare on the basis of citizens' appeals. Similar norms of the law exist in many states, including the Russian Federation.
Servicemen's widows will be eligible to receive two pensions at the same time, provided that the woman has not remarried.
The law will come into force on January 1, 2022. Prior to the adoption of the budget for next year, the relevant committee will work out the question of how much money will need to be allocated for the payment of pensions to this category of our citizens.
