The right to live on your own land

08.08.2018

Dear Pyotr Leonidovich!

Ten years ago, on the night of August 8, 2008, Georgian troops attacked South Ossetia from the Grad rocket fire and destroyed part of its capital, Tskhinval, and a number of other settlements. The victims were counted in the hundreds.

The memory of those terrible days will always remain in the hearts of people. Today there is no one who would forget about the price paid by the South Ossetians, having defended great values - the right to live freely on their land.

The Residents of South Ossetia are grateful to Great Russia, who came to the rescue and stopped the bloodshed, displacing the Georgian aggressors outside the Republic.

Today, the Republic looks to the future with confidence. The basis of this confidence is the unity of the people and the desire to live in a free and prosperous country.

Pridnestrovie will always help and support the fraternal people.

Eternal memory to the deceased!

I wish you and all residents of the Republic of South Ossetia good health, happiness, good, prosperity and prosperity!

With Best Regards,

Chairman of the Supreme Council

of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic

A.S. Shcherba
