One of the forms of constructive interaction and finding solutions to problems are joint meetings of the presidiums of the Supreme Council and the Government. This format of the dialogue was offered to the representatives of the legislative and executive authorities by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The next working meeting of legislators and representatives of the executive branches of government was held today at the government site. Welcoming the parliamentarians, Prime Minister Alexander Martynov thanked the deputies for their constructive work.
The reason for the joint discussion in today's meeting was the outstanding debts of citizens to the state-owned enterprise "Tirasteploenergo". On the eve of the initiative to discuss this issue together with parliamentarians, the Chairman of the Supreme Council, Alexander Shcherba, was addressed by the head of the highest executive body. The Government noted that the total amount owed to the company exceeds 200 million rubles. The search for leverage on negligent consumers is needed.
Earlier, discussing this issue in the course of the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council, parliamentarians proposed expanding the range of issues and discussing at a joint meeting the fulfillment of debt obligations not only of citizens to the state, but also of the state to citizens. This, for example, concerns the historical wage arrears to employees of a number of public and private enterprises. Deputies pointed to a number of state debts. This is a debt to suppliers of medicines to medical institutions, food in kindergartens, schools, hospitals, social facilities. Parliamentarians focused on the fact that the mutual debts of citizens and the state should be considered as a whole.
