Dear Pridnestrovians!

I congratulate you on the Defender of the Fatherland Day on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic!

We traditionally honor on the 23rd of February those who have dedicated their lives to serving the Motherland, maintaining peace and tranquility within the country and on its borders. The history of our republic is rich in examples of the valor and courage of the ancestors who defended our common Fatherland with Russia.

We are proud of the feat of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the valor of the “Afghan” soldiers, the heroism of the defenders of the Pridnestrovian statehood. Being representatives of different eras and generations, you serve as a worthy example of true patriotism, a role model for the young generation of our republic.

Today, the descendants of the heroes, inspired by the exploits of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, boldly and courageously defend the sovereignty and independence of Pridnestrovie.

I wish the veterans of war, labor and the Armed Forces, the defenders of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and all the multinational people of Pridnestrovie good health, happiness, optimism, faith in a peaceful and prosperous future of our republic.
