Deputies considered the law-in-draft "State Program of Denationalization and Privatization in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for 2016-2017" in the second reading. Earlier, the government, which acted as the author of the legislative initiative, proposed to include a number of facilities in the state program. These include ZAO Rybnitsky Cement Plant (state shareholding in the amount of 25%); ZAO "Vestra sewing company" (state shareholding in the amount of 25%) and ZAO "Expocenter of Pridnestrovie" (state shareholding in the amount of 65.05%). As you know, the law-in-draft was adopted in the first reading on January 24 during the plenary session.
By the second reading of the document, lawmakers prepared a number of amendments, including the inclusion of ZAO Electromash in the privatization program (shareholding in the amount of 42.9%). The essence of other parliamentary initiatives is to delay the sale of shares in RCC, Vestra and Expocenter. On the eve of the plenary session, the law-in-draft was discussed by members of “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal) parliamentary faction in conjunction with government representatives. The main discussion centered around the Rybnitsa cement plant. Deputies from Rybnitsa Andrei Safonov and Vadim Kravchuk, they were supported by the vice-speaker of the parliament Galina Antyufeeva, called on colleagues not to sell the state share of the cement plant.
Today, Deputy Vadim Kravchuk announced his position on the results of the discussion of the issue at the plenary session.
The position was supported, the legislators voted to exclude from the list of objects of property in state ownership, subject to denationalization and privatization, and the other two enterprises. There are no potential buyers.
The interest to CJSC "Electromash" was shown by a large investor. Today the enterprise demonstrates positive dynamics, but in the future, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Sergei Obolonik believes, problems may arise that will negatively affect the plant's performance.
The lawmakers supported the amendment on the inclusion of the scientific and industrial closed joint-stock company Electromash in the list of property subject to denationalization and privatization.
