Improving the quality of medical services

Amendments to the law “On the republican budget for 2019”, concerning the expenditure of funds from the Capital Investment Fund to improve the equipment of healthcare institutions with medical equipment and the purchase of ambulances were adopted in the second and final reading. The deputies approved the relevant program, the implementation of which requires more than 34 million rubles. 16 of them will be sent to purchase equipment at medical facilities.

It is planned to provide the necessary medical equipment of the Department of Neurosurgery and Urology of the Republican Clinical Hospital. Equipment of the Soviet period in the Dubossary Central District Hospital requires replacement. The equipment is planned to be purchased for polyclinics and medical and obstetric centre repaired and constructed as part of the capital investment program. The program will include departments of the Grigoriopol and Rybnitsa district hospitals. As an amendment to the second reading, a proposal was made to acquire modern endoscopic equipment for the Bendery Central City Hospital. Not all deputies, it has found support. Nevertheless, as the deputy Ilya Vasilyev noted, the profile commission in the Ministry of Health worked for a year, conclusions were given on each application received from medical institutions. Together with the deputies, the needs of almost all medical institutions were analyzed.

To start the implementation of the program for the acquisition of medical equipment and ambulance cars, the relevant ministry intends from the second half year. Report on the work done will be sent to the Supreme Council.
