Сlose the chapter on the immunity issue

Parliamentarians this spring began work on draft laws regulating the institute of immunity. The first who have the right are president, the Supreme Council deputies, representatives of the judicial community. However, these laws were vetoed by the head of the state, offering its own document, completely copying the norms of the Russian legislation.

The legislative initiative of the head of state was presented to parliamentarians by Justice Minister Zvarych Olga. She was asked by parliamentarians questions.

Parliamentarians were interested why despite the fact that, under the Constitution, immunity in the republic have president and judge, it becomes the subject of the parliamentary political speculations.

Proposed by the head of the republic initiative supposes another rule that caused parliamentarians' indignation. The author proposes to deprive deputies of immunity for expressed opinion or decision. However, deputies consider that this is the essence of the integrity of the institute to the Deputy was able to fully carry out its functions, defend the interests of voters.

Deputies supported the legislative initiative to close the chapter on the immunity issue in the framework of harmonization with the Russian legislation.
