Childbirth benefits

The state has comprehensively carried out activities aimed at supporting families with children, protecting mothers and children in recent years. The Supreme Council supported the President's initiative and extended the terms for paying childcare benefits from one and a half to two years in May of this year. Additional 7 million rubles were allocated this year for these purposes.

The size of the main sum, which the state pays at the birth of a child, will also increase from the 1st of January, 2022. The allowance will grow from 1862 to 2134 rubles. It should be noted that the state also pays an additional one-time benefit for the birth of a child (3042 rubles for the first child, for the birth of the second and subsequent children – 3642 rubles). The initiative of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic to increase the one-time allowance for women registered with medical institutions in the early stages of pregnancy was supported today. This payment will double – up to 242 rubles.

The Supreme Council unanimously supported the legislative initiatives of the President and adopted amendments to the law "On State Benefits to Citizens with Children" in two readings at once.
