The third building at PSU was opened after major repairs

The third building was opened on September 3 after major repairs at PSU. Admissions offices, an archeology museum, laboratories, classrooms and a gym. This is the first major reconstruction in the history of the building since it was commissioned in the early 1960s. 

First-year students, who will be studying in the renovated classrooms, gathered at the doors of the building. Their lectures began immediately after the ceremony, but they listened to parting words from the top officials of the state until the bell rang for their first university classes.

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about his student years, which took place within the walls of Pridnestrovian State University.  

Reconstruction of the university began in 2020. The facades of the main buildings were restored, Gagarin Boulevard, which adjoins the university buildings, was put in order, and a monument to a student, better known among Tiraspol residents as a monument to Harry Potter, was opened at the expense of the Capital Investment Fund, by September 2021. The repair and refurbishment of Building A and the construction of a small temple in honor of the patroness of students, St. Tatiana, were completed a year later. Building B opened its doors to students and teachers last year after renovation. Using funds from the Capital Investment Fund, 14 laboratories and 6 computer rooms were re-equipped, the resource center, planetarium and observatory were updated, and the Quantum multifunctional digital education center was opened. The zoological and geological-mineralogical museums were opened in building B in April of this year.

By the beginning of this academic year, building V, which had not seen major renovation for about 60 years, was also put in order. Classrooms, scientific laboratories, a reading room, an archeology museum and a gym along with it.

Changes are also noticeable in the student campus. It has also been overhauled and landscaped. Utilities have been completely updated, a new playground has been opened, tennis tables and cozy gazebos where you can spend time with university friends, there is also a parking area.
