The procedure for providing free meals to beneficiaries will be improved

The Supreme Council today adopted in the first reading amendments to a number of legislative acts providing for food benefits in educational institutions for children who belong to a number of privileged categories of citizens.

The law-in-draft is intended to unify and introduce a single standard of food benefits in schools, preschool and correctional educational institutions, as well as in institutions of primary, secondary and higher vocational education.

The initiative at the plenary session was adopted in the first reading. The profile committee has questions about the organization of free meals in universities. The representative of the Ministry of Social Protection emphasized that they will determine the mechanism for granting benefits for the second reading and finalize amendments to the law-in-draft together with the deputies of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy. It is planned to submit it to the next plenary session.
