Interested talks were about the state of our main waterway – the Dniester River. Unfortunately, it lost former capacity in recent years. It became clear from the voiced reports, which were made by students and school pupils. A large number of dams were built over-regulation of the river flow, pollution, uncontrolled extraction of sand and gravel and other reasons led to the current state of the Dniester. This led to a drop in the water level, the loss of natural spawning grounds of fish, reduce the river's ability to cleanse itself.

Chairman of the Bendery City Council Yuri Kara drew the attention to the need of joint efforts of Ukraine, Moldova and Pridnestrovie at the territory of which the Dniester flows, in order to preserve the river.

In the course of brain-storm session on the preservation of our common wealth of water each of participants expressed personal opinion what we can make that the Dniester became the same as it always was - a full-flowing river with an abundance of different species of fauna and flora. We can do it.
