The feat of liberators is immortal!

Today, the military-patriotic festival "Forgotten feat - April 44th" dedicated to the liberation of Tiraspol from the German-Romanian invaders was held on the city's beach, which will be celebrated on April 12. The organizer of the event was the club "Heirs of Victory" of the Union of Defenders of Pridnestrovie with the support of the city administration. The festival was attended by the first persons of the state: President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, as well as deputies and citizens.

Despite the inclement weather, rain and wind, the festival gathered a lot of spectators. The beach was divided into sections, which featured interactive exhibitions of weapons, equipment, of the Great Patriotic War. The children's fortress had knight fights, a little further - demonstration performances of service dogs. Participants of the event were representatives of DnestrTimeAttack auto-movement, bikers of Night Wolves club. All comers could try on a military uniform, shoot with a bow or rifle, imagine themselves as a driver of a WWII combat vehicle or a modern bike.

Igor Buga, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Associations, Sports, Information and Youth Policy, head of the club "The Heirs of Victory" noted that this kind of festival is being held in the republic for the first time.

The purpose of the holiday, according to the parliamentarian, first of all, is the education of patriotism and respect for its history. The feat of liberators should not be forgotten.

The culmination of the festival was a spectacular reconstruction of the episode of the battle for the liberation of Tiraspol. The battlefield is trenched. There are thundering explosions and shots, scribbling fascist machine gun, in the air - the smell of gunpowder and smoke. Soviet troops are advancing. The last jerk - the opponent is broken and defeated! The city meets the liberators!

Vadim Krasnoselsky appealed to the soldiers who participated in the reconstruction of historical events, congratulated all the citizens of Tiraspol on the approaching holiday - the Day of the liberation of the city. The President emphasized the importance of preserving in the modern generation the memory of the Great Victory over fascism.
