Summed up the work

23.01.2020

The President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov took part in the work of the Board of the PMR Ministry of State Security. Summing up the results of the ministry’s activities, the Head of the MGB Valery Gebos focused on the geopolitical position of the republic and on the aggravation of relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. The Minister emphasized: the fact that the political situation in Pridnestrovie is stable, power is consolidated, the economy is developing, "does not fit into the reintegration plans of Moldova". In this regard, 2019 can be described as a crisis for the negotiation process, Valery Gebos added.

The President Vadim Krasnoselsky said that Moldova has never been an easy negotiator. Attempts to aggravate relations by official Chisinau undermine trust between states and slow down the negotiation process. Pridnestrovie, as before, is ready for constructive joint work within the framework of the “5 + 2” format and is doing everything to preserve the dynamics of the negotiation process.

Among the tasks that the ministry faces in 2020 and in the medium term, the President noted countering terrorism and extremism, strengthening human resources, improving the professional and ethical level of employees, and ensuring the security of the state border of Pridnestrovie.

The President thanked the employees of the state security agencies of the PMR for the work done and emphasized that the political stability of the state as one of the fundamental principles for the existence of Pridnestrovie is largely preserved thanks to the work of the personnel of the ministry.
