The Pridnestrovian sportsmen high performance at national and international competitions was noted among the achievements. The State Service for Sports emphasizes that the number of sports facilities, stadiums and clubs is increasing in the republic due to state policy. This contributes to the development of physical culture and sports among the population. In addition, large-scale sports events, sports contests, and interdepartmental competitions are held for Pridnestrovians who are not professional sportsmen. A striking example is the Dragon class boat races, which have already become traditional. The interest of children still remains at a low level, the situation needs to be changed, according to the relevant parliamentary committee.

The State Service for Sports emphasized that on behalf of the President a set of physical exercises has been developed to prevent posture disorders and scoliosis in school-age children. Physical education classes have been held in schools since the beginning of this academic year.

The republic pays close attention to the development of sports infrastructure in general. There are 291 sports facilities, 189 gyms, 3 swimming pools, 7 rowing bases, and 7 stadiums in Pridnestrovie. Modern sports grounds are equipped at educational schools.
