The Family Support

There are laws aimed at supporting young families and families with children in the legislation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. This includes assistance in purchasing housing, social benefits, and benefits for utilities. 

The press service of the Supreme Council talked about the current social guarantees for Pridnestrovian families on the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty.

There is a law “On state support for large families” in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Support measures include benefits for utilities, free travel for children, and priority provision of vouchers to children's health camps.

Income tax is paid in a smaller amount in a family with children. The norms are prescribed in the Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “On Personal Income Tax”. The state pays benefits for motherhood and childhood on the basis of the PMR Law “On State Benefits for Citizens with Children”.

The state provides food and travel benefits to some categories of children. The state support is provided for orphans.

Financial inducement are paid to excellent students, winners and participants of municipal, republican, international olympiads and creative competitions, as well as distinguished teachers and students, based on the Decree of the PMR President “On approval of the Regulations on state scholarships and awards of the President of the PMR”.

Legislation in the field of protection of family values ​​is being improved in Pridnestrovie. The Supreme Council adopted recently amendments to the PMR Laws “On the Protection of Children from Information Harmful to Their Health and Development”, “On Cinematography” and to the Code of Administrative Offences.
