Parliamentarians adopted amendments to the law "On measures of state support for economic entities of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in connection with the negative consequences of external factors" in the second final reading today.

The Supreme Council at the request of representatives of light and electrical industry enterprises introduced amendments that provide for a reduction in the customs clearance rate for them.

“The economy does not stop overnight. We understand that there are inertial processes. And even the fact that today the budget receives more revenue than planned, all trends and forecasts indicate that autumn will be quite difficult. That is why the appeal of light industry enterprises, enterprises of the electrical industry concerned the provision of support to them at the legislative level in terms of lowering the rate for customs clearance. If the customs clearance rate for all enterprises is 0.3% of the cost of goods today, then for this category of enterprises the rate will be halved and will be equal to 0.15%,” said Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee Viktor Guzun.

The parliamentarians consider that the reduction in the customs clearance rate will help enterprises free up money to increase, for example, working capital, if necessary, purchase more raw materials or cover the increased costs associated with the delivery of the necessary raw materials and goods of their own production.
