Support for local producers and promotion of Pridnestrovian products on the domestic market, as well as exhibitions, fairs and festivals. All this is “Buy Pridnestrovian!” republican project. It was initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pridnestrovie and has been implemented since 2017. The project activities have been included in the state program to support and develop entrepreneurship in the republic since 2019. This year "Buy Pridnestrovian!" will continue to support Pridnestrovian producers. Financing in the amount of more than 400 thousand rubles was pledged by the Supreme Council to the Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
“The Project “Buy Pridnestrovian!” included in the state target program for the development of entrepreneurship. This indicates its importance and that the project needs state support. The goals and objectives of the project are the promotion of domestic producers, the increase in jobs, of course. The events that take place within the framework of this project help citizens to get acquainted with the goods that are produced in our republic. Residents can not only try and touch Pridnestrovian products, but also purchase it. It is very important that this project takes place in all cities and regions of our republic. This allows Pridnestrovians even from the most remote cities to learn more about the goods that are made in our state. Deputies of the Supreme Council annually support this project and allocated funding for the continuation of its operation in 2022,” said Vadim Kravchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy of the PMR Supreme Council.
Parliamentarians supported law-in-draft that exempted commodity producers from paying state duty for using the trademark “Buy Pridnestrovian!” last year. This facilitated the process of connecting Pridnestrovian producers to the project.
“The project covers several areas in general. The first is trade fairs. They are held in various settlements of Pridnestrovie. The second is work with commercial enterprises. Trade enterprises are provided with printed materials indicating certain goods that are produced in our republic. The logo in the form of a tulip has taken root, many people know it and are looking for it on store shelves. Each time we try to find some new outlets that do not yet have signs for the “Buy Pridnestrovian!” project. We still practice events that take place in the format of round tables and conferences,” Vladimir Isaev explained.
About 30-40 Pridnestrovian enterprises participated in exhibitions-fairs and festivals under the "Buy Pridnestrovian!" logo in the first years of the project, and there are already about 100 local producers now. This suggests that the project is fulfilling its tasks and every year it proves its effectiveness.
Four exhibitions-fairs and the festival "Wines and Grapes" were held last year within the framework of the project “Buy Pridnestrovian!”. The events were held in Rybnitsa, Tiraspol, Bendery, Slobodzeya and Dnestrovsk. Exhibitions and festivals are also planned for 2022. They will be held in all cities, possibly in the villages.
The plans also include the development of online trading. First of all it is necessary to create a single online platform where Pridnestrovian manufacturers will be able to register their products, post photos and descriptions of goods.
“Today we have all online, we are sitting at computers, and it is logical for our manufacturers to develop trade via the Internet that is with delivery. But it will be unprofitable for each individual manufacturer to organize an online store and deliver goods. Therefore, we will try to offer, organize and launch a single online store. It will be called "Buy Pridnestrovian!". Pridnestrovian goods will be collected by groups on this online platform. The biggest challenge facing us is to be able to properly organize the delivery of goods, and especially food,” said Vice President of the PMR Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Isaev.
The experience of the previous year showed that online stores are an interesting additional channel for entrepreneurs to promote and sell their products. The creation of a unified payment system in Pridnestrovie also contributes to the development of online sales.
