The Supreme Council adopted in the first reading law-in-draft of the government amending the law on the social protection of war veterans. The amendments are aimed at restoring social justice for parents whose children under the age of 18 died in peacetime from the effects of the 1992 hostilities. Today, social support measures are extended only to those parents whose children died during the hostilities.
Among the benefits provided by the state are payment of utilities in the amount of 50% within the limits of consumption standards, free travel by all types of public transport, except taxi.
The law-in-draft will be prepared for consideration in the second reading.
