The President Vadim Krasnoselsky developed and sent to the Supreme Council a number of measures designed to support organizations that import socially important medical and pharmaceutical products and supply medical equipment to the republic. As the Minister of Economic Development Sergei Obolonik noted, these economic entities faced several difficulties a few years ago, connected with the currency crisis.
Presented by the President the law-in-draft was developed with the aim of minimizing the harmful effects of the currency crisis on pharmaceutical organizations. It is proposed to introduce restrictions on trade markups, establish clear rules related to state regulation and the determination of prices for medical and pharmaceutical products. The proposed legislation will extend to all cases from 2013 to 2018.
Deputy Vadim Levitsky recalled that together with economic entities, significant financial losses were suffered by the citizens themselves.
As explained by Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Obolonik, the proposed norms will allow regulating prices for pharmaceutical products.
The law-in-draft is supported by the deputy corps in two readings. In addition, the head of the legislature Alexander Shcherba gave a protocol order to the committee on economic policy, budget and finance to develop a number of amendments in the anti-crisis law.
