It will be possible to apply for a state subsidy up to 40 years of age

25.09.2024

The Supreme Council at the suggestion of deputies once again adjusted the age of recipients of a state subsidy for the purchase of housing. Recipients will be employees of a number of budgetary organizations who have not reached 40 years of age on the day of applying for a state subsidy starting next year. Amendments to the law "On state support for young families in the acquisition of housing" were adopted in the second final reading.

The law provided for an age of up to 35 years initially. The recipients can be persons who have not reached 36 years of age from 2022, after the amendments were made by deputies. The Supreme Council deputies Oleg Bayev and Sergey Pisarenko, who authored the law-in-draft, proposed increasing the age to 40. The parliamentarians justified their proposal by saying that increasing the age would allow more people to apply for state subsidies, which in turn could prevent a mass outflow of young working-age people from the republic.
