The Gift to Pridnestrovian Doctors

Deputy of the PMR Supreme Council, General Director of KVINT CJSC, Honorary President of Lions Club Oleg Bayev presented a new tonometer to the Ministry of Health, the News of Pridnestrovie agency writes. The presentation of the certificate for the device took place in the course of the meeting of the Tiraspol "Lions Club", the honorary president and founder of which is Oleg Bayev. The meeting of the Lions Club was also attended by Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva, Deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR Igor Yarych and Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Artem Turov. He noted that social responsibility is an important mission of any company.

The Lions Club has long been involved in charitable activities. The new tonometer costs more than 300 thousand rubles. The device measures intraocular pressure in a non-contact way. Measurement data can be electronically entered into the patient's hospital record. A tonometer of this type allows to quickly identify the risk of developing glaucoma.

This tonometer is still the only one in our republic. Deputy of the Supreme Council Oleg Bayev emphasized that the device will serve the residents of Pridnestrovie and facilitates the work of doctors. Oleg Bayev wished success to the Pridnestrovian doctors and expressed confidence that cooperation with the Ministry of Health will not be limited to this device only.
