The Pridnestrovian Supreme Council on the eve of the New Year holidays hosted a competition of Christmas decorations for children of parliamentarians and employees of the Administration. The winners and prize-winners received well-deserved awards today. However, the organizers decided that the prizes should go to all participants on the eve of the children's holiday.

Competitive works were evaluated in three age categories. Most of the participants were in the group up to seven years. The children together with their parents sewed a real snow-white Moon, painted the Christmas tree-cones green and decorated them with beads, and made New Year's balls with their own hands. Older children, in the categories from 8 to 12 years old and from 13 to 17 years old, made the work more difficult. Someone used the decoupage technique to create a large New Year's ball, someone sewed perky boots and snowflakes decorated with embroidery from felt, and someone wove a golden spider from beads. The Audience Choice Award was given to the next year's symbol – a huge blue hare on skates.

Children decorated the main Christmas tree of the Supreme Council with home-made New Year's toys. It will stand all holidays in the foyer in front of the plenary session hall.
