Broad spectrum

Regular international meeting took place on the parliamentary site. A delegation of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova led by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Signe Burgsteller visited the legislature of the republic. Foreign diplomats held a meeting with the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba and the vice speaker of the parliament, the head of the deputy commission on foreign policy and international relations Galina Antyfeeva.

Last time the Swedish envoy visited Pridnestrovian parliament in summer 2013. Then the embassy of Sweden was also led by a woman - Ingrid Tersman. Traditionally many representatives of the fair sex hold high government posts in the Scandinavian countries. In addition, almost half of the legislative assemblies are made up of representatives of the beautiful half of humanity.

Taking into account the past holiday, the Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Shcherba, welcoming the Swedish delegation, and in its composition were exclusively women, congratulated them on the 8th of March and wished them luck, kindness, prosperity, love.

As the visit coincides the traditional Moldovan holiday "Martisor", the head of the legislature presented foreign diplomats with a gift of national souvenirs.

Vice-Speaker Galina Antufeeva, in an interview with the parliamentary journalists, after the end of the dialogue characterized it as fruitful.

In the course of today's meeting in the Supreme Council, an agreement was achieved to hold a similar meeting in the near future in order to address in more detail raised by the interlocutors issues.
