During the plenary session, parliamentarians adopted in the third and final reading a package of legislations aimed at combating corruption. In addition to the adoption of new legislations for the republic "On combating corruption", "On monitoring the compliance of expenses of persons who replace public office and other persons with their incomes", "On anti-corruption expertise of normative legal acts and draft normative legal acts", amendments were made more to than a dozen existing laws.

Earlier, as an anti-corruption measure, the author of the legislations, the vice-speaker of the parliament Galina Antyufeeva proposed to oblige officials to provide reliable information about their incomes, as well as income of family members, expenses and property, while establishing control over the expenses and incomes of officials. An anticorruption examination of normative legal acts and their projects will allow excluding the corruption component in decision-making at all levels of Government. The executor of such an examination, according to legislators, should be the prosecutor's office. Legislations also determine the responsibility for corruption. The package of legislations was sent for signature to the President.

Deputies considered legislative initiatives developed by the deputies of the parliamentary committee on public associations, sports, information and youth policy.

Parliamentarians considered the law-in-draft, presented by the Federation of Trade Unions of Pridnestrovie. The subject of the right of legislative initiative asks to amend the law "On trade unions, their rights and guarantees of activities" in order to restore the right of the FTUP to establish a periodical publication under the historical title "Trade Union News".

As the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic Viktor Ivanchenkov explained, introducing the law-in-draft, several years ago the organization was deprived of the opportunity to formulate the information policy of its newspaper. The printed edition was re-registered and became the property of an individual.

Deputies spoke in support of trade unions in the overwhelming majority.

Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba drew attention to the special role of trade unions representing the interests of hired workers not only in our republic, but in all countries of the world.
