Playground and recreation area in Giska

28.09.2020

The temple holiday of the village of Giska began last Saturday as it should be with music and songs that sounded from early morning. The young residents of Giska had a reason for joy this day. A new playground with animators, games and dances was ceremonially opened in constituency No. 8 Promyshleny. Deputy of the Supreme Council for constituency No. 8 Anton Onufrienko, on whose initiative the modern town was equipped, says that there used to be an old playground on this place. It was built by him. But time goes by, everything becomes outdated. The requirements are changing.

The parliamentarian plans to equip football and basketball courts in Giska in the near future. One already exists - it has been pleasing football fans for many years in the Shelkovy (Silk) microdistrict in Bendery. Anton Onufrienko began to build it for his own money. Then, as in Giska the funding came from the Voter Mandate Fund. According to the parliamentarian, voters are concerned not only with recreation and sports. There was a problematic pedestrian crossing in Pobedy Street in Bendery.

The crossing is quite busy, so there were many complaints from the residents of the surrounding houses. The issue of installing a "speed bump" was resolved jointly with the chairman of the city council Yuri Kara. Anton Onufrienko considers that in order to work quickly and efficiently, mutual understanding and cooperation of deputies of all levels is necessary. This helped a few years ago in solving the long-standing problem in Shelkovy. The business stalled, the house was not built. Gradually a dump formed there. The situation was corrected. On the initiative of Anton Onufrienko, the foundation pit was filled up, and then a public garden was built on this place. There appeared paths and benches were installed. The trees are growing. Residents of the neighborhood are happy to come here to relax.

Another place where the workers dug up the ground, but did not finish the job, is nearby. After laying the cable, instead of asphalt, a moat remained in the middle of the roadway.

There are enough problems, the parliamentarian says. One of them is the difficulty in carrying out repairs to the constructed facilities, financed by the Voter Mandate Fund. He considers that it is necessary to refine the mechanism for servicing such facilities. Today, issues are resolved only through personal contacts of deputies.
