The Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law "On payment for land". They concern the procedure for paying land tax for newly created peasant farms. Now peasant farms will pay for land not from the moment of registration of the farm, but from the moment of allocation of the land plot. In the same way, farmers will be granted a privilege prescribed by law for the first three years of activity: 100%, 75% and 50% respectively.
At the same time, as part of the second reading of the law-in-draft, the deputy corps took into account a number of amendments. In particular, the parliamentarians supported the proposal to give the law a retroactive effect: its operation will be extended to legal relations beginning in 2012. This means that a new procedure for paying land tax will be applied to the peasant farms that were created in the last five years. If the peasant farm was registered during this period, but the land was allocated to it after a while, the state should return the farmer the spent money.
During the discussion of the amendment, Natalya Sokolova, deputy finance minister and director of the State Tax Service, expressed her concerns about the implementation of the new rule. According to her, the price of the issue is unknown for today.
The adopted law will come into force after signing by the head of state and promulgation.
