The Plans for January

The first meeting of the Presidium of the Parliament took place last year under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Shcherba. Deputies in the course of it outlined lawmaking plans for the first month of the coming year. Despite the fact that the first plenary session of spring session is scheduled for January 24, the parliamentary committees will begin work on legislations in the "legislative portfolio".

At the last meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Protection of Citizens Rights and Freedoms, Grigory Dyachenko proposed to include in the agenda planned for the plenary sessions 9 legislations, for which this committee is responsible. The President, the republic's prosecutor, the Bendery City Council and the speaker of the parliament Alexander Shcherba are the authors. Prepared for deputy corps consideration by the head of the republic's legislature prepared in the second reading assumes that the Commissioner for Human Rights in Pridnestrovie will be able to apply to state bodies and organizations on behalf of the applicant if rights and freedoms are violated. The basis for drafting the law-in-draft by the speaker was the citizens' appeals to the Supreme Council.

The changes proposed by the President of the Code on Administrative Violations are aimed at strengthening administrative responsibility for violations of the Rules of the Road.

Members of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance recommend the colleagues in the deputy corps to adopt it in the first reading initiated by the government law-in-draft, which approves the state program of denationalization and privatization in the PMR.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council, Alexander Shcherba, instructed to draft a plan of lawmaking work for this session and 2018 as a whole as soon as possible. He also informed the members of the Presidium about the continuation of the practice of holding joint meetings of the Presidiums of the Supreme Council and the Government as their agenda was being formed.

The head of the parliament also drew the attention of his colleagues on the deputy corps, official representatives of the President and the Government to the Supreme Council for the unswerving and uniform execution of the enacted legislative acts.
