Opening the Presidium of the Supreme Council, the head of the legislature Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded that the deputy corps was renewed by 53%. 23 parliamentarians have no prior experience with the legislations that’s why it is necessary to enable them to integrate into the legislative process and become familiar with the documentary base. In addition, the speaker emphasized the necessity to revise the existing legislation. Some of them have lost relevance and should be withdrawn, while others still need to be addressed, but do not need regime status any more. Representatives of the government and the President are solidary with this approach regarding planning of the work for the nearest future. According to them, the President unsealed some. It was decided to postpone consideration on the first February meeting, to be able to carefully and thoroughly examine these initiatives.
The initiatives on amendments to the resolution on amnesty will be considered in the near future. Chairman of the Supreme Council, reminding that the legislations appeared on the basis of complaints of citizens, called this issue very important and relevant.
Another issue of the agenda of the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council - is the establishment of departmental awards. They were designed for the 25th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian parliament. The official date of establishment of the legislature was November 29 but holding a single day of voting did not allowed properly celebrate the occasion.
One of the first tasks for today - is personal formation of committees and commissions of the Supreme Council. New targets are set before the Office of the Parliament. Professionals and deputies functioning in the last convocation, but excluded from the current parliament committee for defense, security and law enforcement agencies need to transfer all the material in the newly formed committee, chaired by Galina Antyufeeva. Another organizational factor is associated with the creation of the Committee on the local authorities, local government and housing. There will be a joint meeting of the three committees (local authorities, local government and housing, on agriculture and on legislation) in the near future in order to reallocate between profile initiatives.
The next plenary meeting by decision of the Presidium will be held on January 20.
