Peter Pasat, “Russia intends to continue to maintain Pridnestrovians”

We have already reported on the visit of the parliamentary delegation of Pridnestrovie consisting of the Chairman of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy Budget and Finance Peter Pasat in the Russian capital.

Parliamentarians participated in Moscow in the XXIII International Christmas Educational Readings dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the birth of Prince Vladimir, and passed in the State Duma III Christmas parliamentary meetings.

Along with this our deputies held a series of meetings with Russian colleagues: First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Ivan Melnikov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Sergei Zheleznyak, chairman of the Committee on Education Vyacheslav Nikonov, first deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations compatriot Vladimir Nikitin, first Deputy Head of the Committee on regional Policy and the North and the Far East Roman Khudyakov, head of the Committee on property Sergei Gavrilov, member of the Committee on Natural Resources, Environment and Ecology, Oleg Lebedev, as well as the doctor of economic sciences, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor Sergei Glazyev.

As noted by Peter Pasat, in the course of working meetings in the State Duma their participants emphasized the importance of political dialogue, further development of humanitarian cooperation and expansion of economic relations between Russia and Pridnestrovie. Lawmakers have noted the necessity for further development of inter-parliamentary relations, as well as providing expert advice to the legislature in the process of harmonization of PMR with the Russian legislation.
