Petr Pasat, "Feedback with voters is important for increasing the effectiveness of lawmaking"

The chairman Petr Pasat told about the work of “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal) parliamentary faction in the course of the final press conference. It consists of 18 parliamentarians, who, during the spring session, prepared more than 60 bills for the adoption. Recently, practice was established where the supporters of this political party, as well as the heads of the legislative body are involved in the faction meetings (in the first half of the year they took place 17). This brings a tangible result. The practice of legislations adoption, initiated by members of the "Obnovlenie" through the so-called zero reading is also positive. In this regard, even at the stage of drafting and reviewing legislations, it is held its joint discussion with representatives of the Government and the President.
